Goodbye to bassist Toni Reynés
The musician made history in the world of Majorcan blues with the Harmónica Coxa Blues Band
Born in 1958, Toni Reynés, 62, of the Harmony Coixa Blues Band, left us at the end of last week. With the band he made history recording the first Majorcan blues record: Harmonica Coixa Blues Band (Blau, 1988), with the participation of Erroll Woiski, Joan Bibiloni and Deborah Carter, among others. Three years later, the Harmonic Coixa Blues Band released a second full length, Walking blues (Blau, 1991).
Currently Reynés was part of the Blues Beer Band with guitarist Agustí Serra, harmonica and singer Miquel Gomila and drummer Jaume Darder. With this group he had just recorded a new record which will be released soon by the Blue label.
