"Fa 660 Anys" is the title of the new recording by the Cobla Sant Jordi - Ciudad de Barcelona that includes a selection of works for Cobla by the prestigious Barcelona composer and conductor Salvador Brotons, specifically, eight of his early sardanas plus the work " Fa 660 Anys", composed more recently and which refers to the creation of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
Brotons also serves as guest director of the cobla on this special occasion, advising it so that the interpretation is as faithful as possible to the idea and conception of the work by the author.
The album includes a booklet with a prologue by the writer Jordi Lara, a figure closely linked to the world of cobla and very knowledgeable about the figure of Salvador Brotons, and a careful explanation by the composer and director himself of the artistic content of the proposal and of each particular title.
