Quico el Célio, el Noi i el Mut de Ferreries are releasing their new album, '20 Anys', a double CD with which they celebrate their anniversary while reviewing the most important issues of their musical career. This is a very free album that combines intimate tones with commitment and where the thanks of the people who have supported the group's work for 20 years, play a key role.
The first disc contains 13 new recordings including totally new songs, versions of their own songs and also some surprise as fragments of the soundtrack to the Buddha documentary.
New songs include 'Sóc d´allà baix' (a theme born in the spirit of claiming the south), 'Cançó d´amor de multitud' (a thank you to the Quicos public), 'Aubades d´ahir i de sempre'' (outraged social chronicle) and 'La jota viatgera' (a jotero trip through the Terres de l'Ebre, the Valencian Country, Mallorca and the Low Aragon).
Many of the new versions of other songs typical of the group belong to songs from their early days: 'Lo banc del si no fos' (converted into a ballad), 'De la Terra de l'Ebre DO' (with the in collaboration with the Flumine Choir) or a revamped 'Panxampla' (the last brigand of those who wore a lock).
The second CD entitled "De l´any olímpic a la fi del món" is a remastered anthology, which includes 17 tracks from the best of his repertoire.
The Quicos presented their new record at a press conference at La Finestra de Tortosa bar, where they performed for the first time in December 1992 and where many cultural initiatives were born in the city.
