Mumbai is the fifth album by JAUME VILASECA QUARTET, a jazz band from Barcelona with a ten years career.
Leaded by pianist Jaume Vilaseca, the previous albums of this band Fotografies (1999), Aquí y Allá (2002), World Songs (2005) and Jazznesis (2008) featured both standars and originals, in an amazing crossover of jazz-fussion, flamenco latin and brazilian music.
Mumbai is the result of a wide experience achived in uncontable international jazz festivals where the band has been performing during the last years.

The record has been recorded live at Blue Frog Jazz Club in Mumbai (India) in 8th April 2009, except track 3 recorded next day at Blue Frog Studios featuring Ravi Shankar as guest star. All the compositions in the CD, the first one recorded live by this band, are originals by Jaume Vilaseca.
