Spanish music continues to fascinate the most diverse audiences; its resonance reaches both music lovers accustomed to the romantic piano repertoire and those who are just now venturing into the world of classical music, captivated by its evocative force and its vibrant sonic landscapes.

With the album "Évocations Ibériques," the pianist from Sabadell, Ester Pineda, wanted to offer a personal and sensitive interpretation of one of her favorite repertoires. However, the selection of works for this album was anything but easy; by nature, all choices are arbitrary, and the selection of works for this recording is no exception. It inevitably involves leaving in the shadows composers and works that equally deserve to be included.

Even so, the choice naturally imposed itself, guided, on the one hand, by her desire to introduce pieces that are rarely recorded, and on the other, by an intimate sensibility, the kind that shapes a program just as one constructs a recital's program.

Ester Pineda is a Catalan pianist from Sabadell with an international career, who maintains a firm commitment to Catalan and Spanish music, which she disseminates through numerous critically acclaimed recordings and chamber music works.

In addition to being a professor in Paris, she holds a doctorate in musicology and is a researcher in the neuropsychology of music.
