Kurt Weill, using texts by Bertolt Brecht, obtained his first great successes at a popular level, especially with 'The Three penny Opera'. Weill's melodies humanize lyrics in which we find a view, at once critical, ironic and disenchanted vision of the values that seem to be the foundations of society.
