After his first solo album “Quejíos” (2020), which became one of the most listened to albums on digital platforms the year of its release, guitarist Gaspar de Holanda presents his new work, “Encuentros flamenc@s” ("Flamenc@ encounters")
Guitarist born in the Netherlands, he studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory with maestro Paco Peña and later, already established in Andalusia, he studied with great teachers such as Gerardo Núñez, Antonio Rey or Tomatito among others. He has a long career accompanying singing and dancing and has won numerous guitar awards in Spain, Russia, the Netherlands and Germany, in addition to also being a music producer and composer of music for film, radio or theater.
In his new album “Encuentros flamenc@s”, the guitarist plays with harmonies, tunings, melodies and musical variety and incorporates, thanks to the extraordinary collaboration of friends, instruments from Arab, Sephardic, Persian or Turkish cultures. A journey through different musical worlds alongside 'buddies' like Antonio Rey Navas and Rafael de Utrera.
