In this musical journey through the harpsichord we can not only enjoy a variety of works corresponding to the Renaissance (Dowland), Baroque (Purcell, Cabanilles, Händel and Bach) and Preclassicism (Mariner, Scarlatti, Albéniz) but we also find a connection with the music of Romanticism. It also includes a connection to the pedagogy of keyboard instruments.
The record ends with two little Inventions for the harpsichord, by the harpsichordist, musicologist and director Ángel Villagrasa himself, performer of the album, with some Celtic and medieval touch added in the first and with a clear influence of Vivaldi in the second, without forgetting the shape of the Great Inventions for two voices by J.S. Bach.
