Navarre accordionist Javier López Jaso now arrives with a new proposal recorded in September-December 2022 at the Mecca studios in Oiartzun (Gipuzkoa) that is considered a trip surrounded by great musicians and friends, such as the saxophonist Mikel Andueza, Marcelo Escrich at double bass and Dani Lizarraga on drums, which includes original songs by Javier himself with some splendid and sophisticated adaptations of traditional Basque rhythms and melodies and popular songs with mythological reminiscences (Axuri Beltza, Txoria Txori). The elegant fusion of the old and always evocative sound of the accordion, with bits of a modal jazz of enormous plasticity and suggestive airs of slum tango, more than complies; probably becoming one of the most delicate and moving works published in recent years.
