Gertrudis, one of the pioneering groups on the Catalan fusion scene, are back with their long-awaited new album “Abans que s’acabi el món” (“Before the world ends”). This ninth studio album by the group from La Garriga (Barcelona), includes 10 songs and for the fourth time in his career Roger Rodés (a regular with Shakira and winner of a Latin Grammy for "Calambres" by Nathy Peluso), is the producer.
In this album they update their sound, incorporating reggaeton and electronic music into their music shaker.
Gertrudis took a break between 2011 and 2015, and that year they decided to return with a compilation that included their best songs, "Quinze 15 X". In 2016 they release the album "Ara volo alt" (“Now I fly high “), and in 2019, "No me da la gana" ("I don't feel like it"). The pandemic opened a new recording parenthesis that will now close with the release of "Abans que s'acabi el món".
