Symbiosis 5 consists of a group of Hungarian musicians, “neighbours” in Budapest, the land of live music and capital of street festivals. The fact that the musicians are neighbours seems to clash with the increasingly evident globalisation of jazz ensembles. It is a movement against the current scene in which the members of young bands come from the same music schools but have their personal and artistic roots in different parts of the globe.
