Recorded at Camaleon Studios in Madrid entirely live with an impeccable production. "Searching hard" not only proves individual talents from band members, Daniel Juárez (tenor sax), Nacho Fernández (guitar), Jorge Castañeda (piano), Darío Guibert (double bass) and Mikel Urretagoiena (drums), and their instrumental virtuosity as well, but also reveals the originality of their proposal throughout nine compositions signed by all band members, who eagerly elaborate a brilliant searching and experimentation exercise through them.
A search that for The Machetazo began right from the very birth of the band in New York and Amsterdam ostensibly proving throughout countless of live performances and two previous records "1290 Prospect place" (2017) and "A vision in a dream" (2019) and continuing on their third album "Searching hard". These five musicians trained in the Conservatorio Superior de Música del País Vasco Musikene, along with a wide musical background, remarkably consolidate a cosmopolitan and genuine vision within the Contemporary instrumental jazz, not without many other influences, providing an unusual originality
