Organizing is made up of musicians with vast experience and extraordinary instrumental skill; Raúl Sainz de Rozas (guitars) is the one who leads the band, accompanied by José Luis Canal (Hammond organ), initiated in Jazz music by the hand of pianists such as Iñaki Salvador and Joshua Edelman; on drums we find Juan Luis Castaño, born in Venezuela and living in Barcelona and a deep connoisseur of the rhythms of jazz and Latin music; and finally, the Navarrese saxophonist Alberto Arteta is undoubtedly one of the most interesting emerging figures on the jazz scene today.
With that delicious tribute to Cuban boxer Kid Chocolate on the cover, "Short Stories" is a collection of 7 stories. 7 tributes from their creators to artists and people who have marked their lives. Versions of his most admired artists (Kenny Dorham, Wes Montgomery) and his own compositions inspired by his loved ones. 7 songs wrapped in the warm lullaby of an omnipresent Hammond organ in the best tradition of Brother Jack McDuff, Lou Bennett or Jimmy Smith. 7 moments of crystalline, luminous and genuine jazz, ready to revive and mutate in new and vibrant forms in the intimacy of our listening.
Soul and rhythm of swing, cool elegance of R&B, endearing warmth of the infallible Hammond organ. Experience and talent always at the service of the story and communication with the listener.
