COLUMNA MUSICA (COM0425 02)
In this new Cd-Book by Paco Escobar –which joins an already more than interesting and exemplary discography, where the flamenco guitar becomes polyglot and wisely dialogues with other musical languages– music wants to be, in addition to music or precisely because of to be music, an inner journey, meditation and dialogue with oneself, the essence of human feeling, the expression of old emotions with today's messages in an aesthetic, symbolic and spiritual journey in seven movements, each reflecting a state of mind. That is to say, "an emotional initiation between music and literature, a poetic-narrative walk through human emotions."
Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Seville (US), Paco Escobar is a member of the Andalusian Literary and Critical Research Group: unpublished texts and recollections and is integrated into the Project Presence of flamenco in Argentina and Mexico (1936-1959): commercial spaces and Spanish associationism.
Combined with his teaching work as a philologist, he teaches seminars on guitar, flamenco music, literature and communication processes in the Official Master's Degree in Performing Arts at the US and the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Multidisciplinary Research and Analysis of Flamenco at the University of Cádiz ( UCA).
