Providential Latin jazz sextet, played by the grace of the Cadiz Caribbean and created in honor of one of the most original and outlandish stars that the jazz planet has given: Thelonious Monk. The proposal combines original pieces and compositions by the author himself, touched by the peculiar rhythmic sense, in the melodies and the dissonant and sophisticated harmonizations, which were part of his personal and non-transferable stamp. Styles as diverse as Mozambique, merengue, guaguancó, songo, bolero, danzón or reggae, converge in this shameless tribute –but at the same time, respectful to unsuspected limits– thanks to a truly extraordinary sextet and the multicolored fantasy that the Cadiz bay evokes, a city that has seen a multitude of ships arrive loaded with Caribbean rhythms and even the first jazz records that entered in Spain.
