Born on June 27, 1956 in the rural parish of Clarendon, Freedie McGregor began singing harmonies at the tender age of seven as 'Little Freedie' with The Clarendonians, a local vocal duo consisting of Ernest 'Fitzroy' Wilson and Peter Austin. . Clarendonians were incredibly popular during the ska era.
Freddie McGregor is one of the most respected singer-songwriters in Kingston's competitive music business. After spending nearly two decades building his reputation with a series of 7" records and live performances, he finally released his debut album "Freddie" (SECBSRCD966 02) in 1979.
"Love at first sight", the album that we now present, was originally released in 1982 and was the Jamaican's fifth studio album.
