Tomás Buxó's piano work from this recording shows a fully romantic sound aesthetic, without renouncing a harmonically more modern writing in favor of the will of description and evocation necessary. Regardless of the fashions and avant-gardes that Buxó lived with in the early years of the 20th century, Buxó remains faithful to his own style and creates music that claims the power of melody as the most direct resource to capture the attention of the listener.
