Franca Masu (Alghero, 1962) is an Italian singer, an exponent of Catalan culture and language that influenced the city of Alghero in the Middle Ages. She sings in Catalan, but also in the Sardinian, Spanish and Portuguese languages.
Masu has described her genre as world / ethno-jazz.
"Alguimìa" published in 2003 is the second album by the Italian, in chronological order, in which the singer begins to add elements of fado and Caribbean music to her already well-stocked fusion of styles that she offered us on her first album " El meu viatge ”(2000), which return a bit the magical flavors and smells of the Sardinian land.
