"El cor de la terra", this is the title of Txarango's long-awaited third album, which will be released on March 31st.
In an interview with Europa Press, the group explained that the title of the work summarizes their journey to Africa, a continent from which "all the music of the world emerges as a motherland", while symbolizing a heart that beats with a reading emotional about music.
The title is also a game with the word 'heart' as a choral project that has been the realization of the album because it has "the participation of many people", with collaborations such as a group of refugees, but also the by Pau Donés (Jarabe de Palo), Manu Chao and The Cat Empire.
Musically, the album sounds like Africa as a land from which everything arises, in a musical fusion of different mental maps integrated by the Mediterranean, Latin America, the Middle East and world music, following his travels to Gambia, Senegal , Melilla and refugee camps in Palestine and Greece.
For this reason, the group - made up of Alguer Miquel, Sergi Carbonell, Joaquim Canals, Àlex Colinas, Pau Puig, Ivan López and Jordi Barnola - has incorporated Arabic lute and music from the Middle East into its usual sound, with a “great growth ”Of the group at the level of percussion, but not only, since they have also integrated an accordion.
All this culminates in a "fusion of rhythms ranging from salsa, to reggae to cumbia", in a journey through the Mediterranean and Latin America that results in festive music aimed at starting a dance for fans.
