For a young gipsy singer born in the Barcelona neighbourhood of Gracia bolero music wasn't an easy option. Cuba has, and probably has always had, a reserved space in the deep of s heart. Its music and people, as well as its way to infused bolero with the traditional exuberance of African rooted music. The Spanish singer has admired Cuban bolero as a celebration of love and passion while in other territories boleros are not a celebration, but pieces of the tragedy of disappointment in love and treachery. prefers to sing to the joy of love and romanticism better than do it to pain and suffering and maybe this is the reason why he's so popular in Cuba, just because he understands bolero in the same way Cuban people do.
