1969 album from the Morgan Blue Town stable, a classic psychedelic prog. album.
Album features Mike Bobak, Andy Jons & Wil Malone .
In 1969 this trio of well-known and prestigious sound engineers (especially Bobak and Jones) recorded their only LP, "Motherlight" (1970), a psychedelic album dominated by the lyrics of Will Malone although the other two members of the trio, the members more prominent technically, Mike Bobak, the Kinks' usual sound engineer, and Andy Jons (known as Andy Johns, brother of Glyn Johns), also participated in the composition.
Songs like ‘Motherlight’, ‘On a Meadow-Lea’ exude soft tempos with hypnotic textures, very relaxing, with acid voices, organ, fuzz guitar… that fans of Pink Floyd may like. They also have time to fuel the rhythm, without losing a spatial sense of composition, in tracks like ‘Mona Lose’ or the bluesy ‘Wanna Make a Star, Sam’.
