Niño Josele and La Cobla Sant Jordi - Ciutat de Barcelona: a unique project that unites flamenco, jazz and traditional music thanks to the talent of open-minded artists who are committed to merging the color and texture of the
Catalan cobla, a big band with a Mediterranean root, obtaining as a result a proposal with its own character.
The album, which includes songs by Niño Josele himself - from the albums 'Paz', 'Española' and 'El mar de mi ventana', nominated for the 2012 Latin Grammy - as well as traditional Catalan songs, is co-directed by the
pianist and composer Joan Díaz, recognized for works such as 'We Sing Bill Evans' (Critics Award for Best Jazz Album 2008). Díaz, author of the original arrangements for cobla, has found in the music of the pianist Bill Evans (a version of the classic 'Turn Out the Stars' included) a common thread to bring the talent and language of Niño Josele closer to the more contemporary coblism.
'Niño Josele & Cobla Sant Jordi - Ciutat de Barcelona: Live at the Kursaal Theater' has been recorded live within the framework of the last edition of the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa (which acts as co-producer of the project).

The album will be presented in concert on September 21, at 10 pm, in the Plaza de la Catedral de Barcelona, ​​within the framework of the Fiestas de la Mercè.
