In this CD Jobim sings his friend’s classics

Biscoito Fino is reissuing a rare CD: Tom Jobim interpreting Noel Rosa, Vinicius de Moraes, Edu Lobo, Carlos Lyra, Dorival Caymmi, Ary Barroso and Chico Buarque.
Some time ago, Ana and Paulo Jobim suggested to Almir Chediak, producer of several songbooks, to make a CD putting together Tom’s recordings of works from the above composers. Once agreed upon, the next step was to edit a CD that received the name of Minha Alma Canta. In some tracks, interpreter Tom Jobim counted with the company of Paula and Jaques Morelenbaum, Chico Buarque, Leila Pinheiro and Gal Costa.
Paulo and Ana Jobim noticed that there was no other source with so many recordings by Tom interpreting songs from other authors. As a matter of fact, despite having recorded for longer than 30 years, very seldom did he include in his records songs from other composers.
