Marta Zabaleta faces the challenge of recording the suite for piano solo Goyescas o Los majos enamorados, the masterwork that has perpetuated Enric Granados' name all over the world one hundred years after his premature, tragic death in the waters of the English Channel.
Zabaleta represents the current generation of pianists that is the necessary link to keep the legacy of this music alive and of Granados' conception of piano that he was able to convey to his school, the Acadèmia Granados-Marshall, of which Zabaleta has been the director for some years and still is: “Goyescas o Los majos enamorados (The Gallants in Love) and El pelele (Le Pantin) mean for every pianist a technical and musical challenge.
