Meritxell Neddermann presents “Suelta” ("Loose") her second album
Rhythm and melodies run through Meritxell Neddermann's veins with a heightened sensitivity like few others. As in his debut album, “In the Backyard of the Castle” (Halley Records, 2020), the versatility and skill of both the piano and the voice distill the sound until finding one of his own, intimate and ethereal, clearly marked by the mix. of genres – classical music, jazz, funky and indie – and for experimentation with loops, pedals and vocoder.
Her sound and talent surprise us again in her second album, “Suelta” (Halley Records, 2023), which has already had 3 previews. The first, “Restaurante en el mar”, with an eighties sound, is a tribute to the British band Supertramp and captures the desire, doubts and mystery that one experiences when connecting with someone, and manages to transport the listener to similar situations. The second, “Suelta” that gives its name to the album, a practically instrumental song that begins with a beat inspired by Thom Yorke and that is conceived as a feeling of freedom through music uniting voices and synthesizers. And the third and last, “T'esperaré una mica más”, inspired by a more classic American pop-soul that tells us about those certain situations where one does not feel comfortable with someone with whom one is in tune and with whom there is a close relationship.
Meritxell Neddermann is synonymous with subtlety, with love for music, where sensations and atmospheres coexist to build a universe and unique proposals. We will find all this on her new album.
