Christoph Mallinger, Èlia Bastida, Carla Motis y Marta Roma, each member with long and active individual careers and other projects, got together during the pandemic times to bring to life this new string quartet. The quartet embraces new horizons borrowing from the swing style and rhythms of the Afro-American tradition. Following the essence of Halligalli’s meaning (happy party) their concerts and this first album, include some theatre “a la” Humoresque giving an exotic and glamorous flavour that will bring you to an unexpected journey.
With the entire group being fluent across multiple instruments, performances grant the listener an impression and feeling of a four-person orchestra.
