New album, the ninth, by the pianist Jaume Vilaseca in which he recreates the music of the composers Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons, especially the first and successful conceptual albums of the late 70s.
Recorded and mixed during the months of the first pandemic confinement in his personal "home studio", the pianist evokes the atmospheres of those unforgettable vinyl records, handcrafting electronic bases that inspire him for improvisation. It will sound like classic jazz at times (some songs have strong theatrical or cinematographic reminiscences) or others like modal jazz, be bop, funk...
It is worth mentioning the wonderful collaboration of his daughter, the singer Mar Vilaseca in the song 'Day after Day (The Show must go on)'. As explained in the credits, Mar she recorded the voice a year later, already unconfined from New York, the city where she has lived since then.
