Extremadura duo La Barca, presents their first album "Materia Mestiza". He plays, she sings, but they both caress us with her charm and with the chance of her music, with her art and craft. She is from Badajoz and has her origin in Jazz, in Latin American and Portuguese root music; in traditional Indian folklore and in one's own Spanish roots. He is from Lisbon, comes from the classical and fado scene, with influences from Sephardic music and pop. The artist from Badajoz has her origin in nomadic improvisation but with an academic background, the Lisbon artist has a prolific career as a pianist, composer, arranger and producer. His paths converge and now they are La Barca. After four years collaborating on various projects, they got into the studio to compose and shape their first album as a duo, “Materia Mestiza”. For this, they have the music producer Johnny Galvão, with Rui Filipe as co-producer, studio technician and arranger. The violinist Cindy Gonçalves and the cellist Sandra Martins join the project in several songs, as well as the singer Sofía Álvarez, on the song “Pirilampos y Luciérnagas”.
