Acordeireta is a duo of traditional Galician music that is formed by: Patricia González Iglesias (voice and tambourine) and Alejandro Balbuena Ojea (accordion, bass drum and voice) and “Loitar cantando” (“Fight singing”) is their first work.
On the album they put music to two poems from Luz Fandiño's 'Escolma de poemas'.
The song 'Muiñeira do Sr. Julio', which was the album's single, is based on two poems by Julio P. Campos, who had to emigrate from Saiáns (Galicia) to Uruguay.
The lyrics of authors such as Curros Enriquez, Rosalía and Celso E. Ferreiro are mixed with those of popular authors and their own lyrics.
