It is with great pleasure that I present this recording because it means rescuing from oblivion and vindicating a composer who has fascinated me since I became acquainted with her music. Also, we are both from Maó, so it makes me happy to contribute to the dissemination of our cultural heritage. After years studying and looking for unpublished scores -and the research is still going on- I can finally present the first worldwide recording of the complete solo piano music by Margarida Orfila, a twentieth century composer of early talent and solid training.
