After the revision carried out in the previous and first volume of this octet ("The Magi Are Coming"), Wise Guys Octet takes up the effort to portray mainly Andalusian popular Christmas carols, one Catalan and the other English (originally a hymn) with their own jazz style, which incorporates, especially in this new work, flamenco-inspired styles, as well as moments of free improvisation, expanding the possibilities that the ensemble offers.
The arrangements by Jesús Lavilla, Javier Galiana and Miguel López form an eclectic palette that, beyond challenging the listener to recognize what is popular in the jazz framework, offer a particular vision of jazz that is consolidated in Cádiz as a mixture of its own styles, acquired and developed among the musicians that make up the ensemble.
