Born in Terrassa, Barcelona, in 1936, he won the 1rst Prize at the Maria Canals International Competition when he was eigtheen and then played for his first time at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
His brilliant career has brought him to make a large number of perfomances in different European countries as Andorra, Spain, Slovenia, France, Sweden and Germany and in the United States: New York, Boston (Harvard), Chicago, Los Angeles (Hollywood), San Francisco, Bryn Mawr (Philadelphia). He has enjoyed great success among audiences and critics alike.
At the same time he played concerts he deployed an intense activity in teaching and so he has trained a whole generation of pianists that hold main places in teaching and as piano players alike.
This CD is part of the collection of La Mà de Guido HISTORICAL and collects recordings of live performances of works by Chopin, Mompou, Ravel and Granados made by the pianist at the Terrassa Cultural Center between 1980 and 2010.
