The Music and Cervantes collection presents a fourth volume of rare music dedicated to a repertoire of pieces inspired by Cervantes’ magnum opus and, on this occasion, created by mainly Spanish women composers with the exception of Mexican composer, Ana Lara. Over two hundred female characters populate the pages of Don Quixote, which goes to illustrate the importance Cervantes gave to women, and the present volume, commemorating the publication of Don Quixote. Part 2 (1615-2015) is dedicated to them through the creative minds of the featured composers, which is indeed a subtle way to vindicate a soundscape that also belongs to them.
