Fourth album, first for Biscoito Fino, by Bena Lobo, grandson of Fernando lobo, the composer from Pernambuco.
The record is in line with what Bena Lobo has done since his first work, MPB updates to out times: : samba and baião mixed with pop, metal and electronic sounds with Northeastern influences (in reference to its home Northeast region of Brazil). "Valentia" is certainly the album most deeply into my Nordestinas (Northeastern) roots much more than any of the foregoing ones. It's a pop record, but with Brazilian essence”, defines the singer and composer of musical noble lineage.
The album is full of collaborations. In "Velho Lua", with lyrics by Edu Krieger, Daniel Gonzaga pays a tribute to his granfather Luiz Gonzaga, the king of baião. The poet Rômulo Pacheco has written the lyrics of the song 'O samba não Morre' a tribute to the masters of samba Noel Rosa, Ismael Silva, Ari Barroso and Aldir Blanc. Also includes four collaborations with Paulo Cesar Pinheiro, and unreleased songs composed by Ursula Corona, Gabriel Moura and Maria de Moraes.
